The Plant Manager has overall responsibility for the performance of a manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting production, quality, and delivery objectives. This role leads plant operations and translates business priorities into short-term operational strategies, plans, and performance expectations. The position is accountable for optimizing resources, strengthening production capabilities, and influencing cross-functional decisions that impact plant performance.
Lead overall plant operations to achieve safety, quality, production, delivery, and cost objectives while ensuring effective execution of operational priorities.
Direct production planning and control activities, aligning production schedules with material availability and operational requirements to maintain a controlled flow of production.
Plan and optimize the workforce, equipment, tools, and other resources required to meet production schedules and performance standards.
Evaluate plant processes, systems, technologies, and equipment and implement improvements that enhance manufacturing capability, efficiency, and operational performance.
Establish and execute plant-level policies and strategies, address complex operational challenges, and collaborate across functions to drive business and manufacturing objectives.
Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations with accountability for production, safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Experience managing production planning, resource allocation, and material requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to lead experienced professionals and provide direction while enabling independent decision-making and accountability.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with experience addressing moderately complex to difficult operational challenges.
Ability to implement operational strategies, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive improvements in manufacturing processes and performance.
