T&T Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join a dynamic hospital team in Harbor City. Collect blood and other specimens from patients of all ages
Perform venipunctures and finger-stick procedures accurately and efficiently
Conduct bedside specimen collections in an acute care hospital - all units including NICU
Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within EMR systems
Follow all infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures
Provide compassionate care while helping patients feel comfortable throughout the collection process
2+ years acute-care hospital phlebotomy
Pediatric, adult, geriatric, and NICU bedside collections
Venipuncture and finger-stick proficiency
EMR experience
Specimen identification/handling and tracking
Infection-control and aseptic technique
Quality-control documentation
Ability to work full-time in South Bay and surrounding area
The ideal candidate is technically skilled, patient-focused, and committed to accuracy. You understand that every specimen matters and that a calm, reassuring approach can make all the difference for patients who may be anxious about the procedure.
Do you have formal phlebotomy training or certification?
How many years of phlebotomy experience do you have?
Have you worked in an acute care hospital for a minimum of 2 years?
Do you have experience performing bedside draws on patients of all age groups?
Are you proficient in venipunctures and finger-stick collections?
Which EMR systems have you used?
Can you consistently follow infection control and aseptic procedures?
Have you maintained quality-control documentation or specimen logs?
How do you help nervous or anxious patients feel comfortable during blood draws?
